Ronald Jones trains in a marshalling yard in Saint-Henri; Georges Thibault does the same in a park: both are preparing to participate in the Golden Gloves, an amateur boxing championship. We see the first with his family, at home and the second at work in a tavern. The big night arrives. Jones wins his fight by K-O and Georges Thibault does the same, but is disqualified because he hit during the break. The film’s treatment makes it one of the most beautiful moments captured live.
