A historic documentary feature film whose narrator is the exceptional Olympic Champion Mark Spitz. In this film, the director evokes simultaneously the sporting triumph and the blood-drenched finale of a population’s uprising. With the backdrop of the Cold War, the Hungarian national water polo team faced the Soviet Union team in the semi-finals of the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne. Two weeks after, Russian tanks entered Budapest to squash the revolution. The fight between the two national sports clubs took on a sinister and premonitory dimension.
