La Lucarne
La Lucarne is a gathering of sport aficionados that work in the cultural realm as promoters or artists. Their desire: creating events where these two worlds meet, linking cultural and sports facts.(see the full editorial)
From June 5th to 11th 2006, La Lucarne presents les Rencontres Internationales cinema et sport de Montreal.
July 9th 2006, in Montreal, La Lucarne will broadcast the World Cup Final on giant screen at Park Jean-Drapeau. With the collaboration of RDS, SPORTECH, 24H, les WEEK END DU MONDE and la FÉDÉRATION DE SOCCER DU QUEBEC. FREE ADMISSION
La Lucarne, consists also of other events in the context of sports.
This year, Charmaine Hooper, captain of national canadian soccer team (124 caps, 64 goals) and Benoit Charest, a musician (recipient of 3 Felix and 1 Cesar in 2004), a passionate soccer player in his own right, will be the spokepersons of this event.
Les Rencontres Internationales cinéma et sport de Montréal is presented in collaboration with Cinémathèque québécoise, the Goethe-Institut and TV5.
